Musey.ca proudly announces Runway Repurpose: an exciting partnership with Fanshawe College’s Fashion Design Program, Earthbeat Studios Inc., and Brad Spencer Beard Studio, celebrating sustainable fashion through upcycling and eco-conscious design.

This initiative brings together creative talents and thought leaders to transform second-hand garments into innovative fashion pieces, with an exclusive collection available for purchase on Musey.ca.

Our Partners

Runway Repurpose is a transformative design project led by Maheshi Wanasundara at Musey and Fanshawe students guided by Nahlia Loren Couto. Inspired by sustainably crafted pieces from Musey, students dive into the art of “thrift flipping”—reimagining second-hand clothing into elevated, modern designs. This hands-on process immerses students in sustainable fashion principles, allowing them to explore circular practices like garment redesign, repair, and repurposing while showcasing their innovative vision and dedication to eco-conscious design.

Fanshawe College’s Fashion Design Program equips future designers with creative and technical skills, blending education with hands-on sustainable practices.

Earthbeat Studios Inc., led by filmmaker Nahlia Loren Couto, specializes in eco-adventure storytelling that promotes an appreciation for the natural world. Their work centers around the intersection of environmental sustainability and visual storytelling, shedding light on important conversations around eco-conscious lifestyles and sustainable fashion.

BradBeard Studio, led by Brad Spencer, brings a powerful creative lens to the partnership. With expertise in photography and film, it captures immersive stories.

Event, Film, and Platform for Change

Runway Repurpose, brings thrifted clothing to life through upcycling, creating collections that embody sustainable fashion alternatives. Captured by Earthbeat Studios Inc. and Brad Spencer Beard Studio, the journey will be documented in a film exploring our connection to fashion and responsibility as Earth stewards. Through themes of circularity, reuse, repair, and redesign, this visual narrative highlight creativity and the impactful potential of sustainable design practices.
