We’re Hiring: Event Coordination & Partnerships Assistant
Sustainable Fashion Week Canada (SFWC), an initiative by Musey, is looking for an Event Coordination & Partnerships Assistant to support the planning and pre-production of our upcoming festival taking place in late September 2026 in London, Ontario.
This is a Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ)- funded position offering hands-on experience in event coordination, community partnerships, sustainability, and volunteer management.
The role will run for 8 weeks (35 hours/week) from July to August 2026.
About the Role
The Event Coordination & Partnerships Assistant will support the planning and coordination of Sustainable Fashion Week Canada’s events, workshops, markets, and community activations. This role focuses on building systems, supporting outreach, coordinating logistics, and helping prepare the foundation for successful event delivery.
You will work closely with the SFWC team to support planning across logistics, outreach, volunteer coordination, and sustainability integration.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with community members, artists, businesses, and partners.
Key Areas of Work
- Event planning and logistics coordination
- Outreach to artists, partners, and sponsors
- Volunteer recruitment and coordination support
- Program and schedule development support
- Marketing and promotional preparation
- Sustainability and zero-waste event planning support
- Administrative tracking and reporting support
Who Should Apply
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable reaching out to people and following up professionally
- A strong communicator (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative
- Interested in events, sustainability, community development, or fashion
Experience in event planning, outreach, customer service, or community work is an asset, but not required.
Eligibility Requirements
This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must:
- Be between 15–30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be available for 35 hours per week for the duration of the contract (July–August 2026)
