SUSTAINABLE FASHION WEEK 2024

Musey is thrilled to announce the inaugural Sustainable Fashion Week in Canada, a pioneering event dedicated to transforming the fashion landscape through community-led, grassroots initiatives. This unique week-long celebration, spearheaded by Musey, aims to empower individuals with the skills and resources needed to foster a sustainable relationship with fashion.

Sustainable Fashion Week Canada (SFWC) is designed to inspire, upskill, and provide resources to everyday citizens, enabling them to make sustainable fashion choices regardless of their background or budget. The event will highlight creative actions that can be taken to transform the fashion system from the bottom up, emphasizing the power of community in driving change.

SFWC is in September 2024 an immersive spaces with multiple activities to explore sustainability in fashion and feel inspired.

The community Fringe runs from September 22-29 2024!

An exciting program of one-off grassroots events and activities during the whole week, from September 22- Spetember 29 at a variety of partner spaces, in London Ontario.

The flagship event on September 28-29 will showcase an alternative fashion system that prioritizes reducing its impact on both people and the planet. This will be achieved by adhring to four core values.

SFWC will feature a range of events, including vendor booths, panel discussions, film screenings, children events, clothes swaps, repair cafes, workshops and runways. These activities are designed to engage participants in meaningful conversations and actions around sustainable fashion practices.

By bringing together a diverse mix of makers, creatives, businesses and organizations, SFWC aims to amplify the conversation on sustainable fashion and inspire a collective movement towards a more responsible future.

The initiative follows a “C2C”(community-to-community) approach, ensuring that the benefits of sustainable practices are shared widely and inclusively.

Last year, Sustainable Fashion Week in the UK (https://www.sustainablefashionweek.uk/) engaged over 86,000 people through in-person events, demonstrating the significant impact of community-driven fashion initiatives. The Canadian edition, hosted by Musey, promises to build on this success, fostering a vibrant and engaged #SFWcommunity that is committed to sustainable fashion
